Liu E’s Former Residence, purchased by Liu E’s father Liu Chengzhong, is located on the west side of Gao Gongqiao Street in the southeast of Shao Lake within the city of Huai’an. It is adjacent to Jingang Society Lane to the east and Dizang Temple Lane to the west, with the area north of the house originally being wasteland. The residence consists of an eastern garden, a central main house, and three separate courtyards to the west (according to Liu Dexin, these are the southern part of the western residence, the central part of the western residence, and the rear residence), totaling more than 140 rooms.
