Yue Wang Temple, originally known as Yue Wang’s Birth Temple, was constructed in the fourth year of Jianyan (1130 AD) during Yue Fei’s lifetime. The temple features Song Dynasty architecture, exuding a sense of solemnity and grandeur. Engraved on the columns are the words ‘Thirty years of fame and dust, eight thousand miles of cloud and moon’. Inside the hall sits a statue of Yue Fei, flanked by statues of his eight valiant generals, all vividly lifelike. The rear hall, named Si Yue Xuan, houses a stele with Yue Fei’s image. The surrounding corridor encloses the two halls, embedding stone carvings of ci poems, poetic inscriptions, and Yue Fei’s handwritten ‘Preface to the Expedition’. Ascending the steps of Ying Si Yue Bridge, one can overlook the entire view of Yue Wang Temple.
Liu Guojun’s Former Residence is the birthplace of Liu Guojun, a modern national industrialist from Jingjiang, Taizhou. The residence comprises several buildings including the former residence, Jingxiu Hall, Shan Yu Hall, and Guojun Hall, all exhibiting a national style with a quaint and charming ambiance. Within the main hall, Hongyi Hall, are displayed biographical materials and images of Liu Guojun, authentically recreating the arduous entrepreneurial journey of this pride of Chinese national industry. The specific opening hours are subject to the on-site announcement at the scenic area. Essential tips for visitors: Liu Guojun, a native of Jingjiang, was a well-known modern patriotic industrialist and collector of cultural relics.
