The Military Review Platform, also known as the Command Point Platform, is located on the south bank of Liuhekou in Taicang City, adjacent to the river dike. It is said that during the fourth year of the Jianyan era of the Song Dynasty (1130 AD), the famous anti-Jin general Han Shizhong built it when he was stationed at the port. During the Ming Dynasty, Japanese pirates often landed here to raid, and local soldiers and civilians fought bravely against them, leaving behind many heroic and moving stories of resistance.
