Liuting Pavilion is a single-story structure, delicate and light, with windows on all sides. It features a platform in front, making it an ideal spot for admiring autumn lotus and listening to the rain. The name of the pavilion is derived from the Tang Dynasty poet Li Shangyin’s verse: ‘Autumn clouds do not disperse, frost flies late, leaving withered lotus to listen to the sound of rain.’ It is open all year round from 07:30 to 17:00.
