Longbeishan Forest Park is located on the south side of Yixing urban area. It has gentle hills, green vegetation, and a flat asphalt pavement. The ‘health trail’ surrounds the entire park, which is especially suitable for cycling and walking. The various amusement facilities in Longbeishan Amusement Park also make the park a great place for parent-child tours. The Jingxi Gate, Yangxian Gate, and Taodu Gate of Longbeishan Forest Park are arranged in sequence from west to east in the north of the park.
Among them, the Yangxian Gate is the main entrance, and the tourist center is at the entrance. Entering from the Yangxian Gate, the first thing that catches the eye are several sets of artificial waterfalls. Not far to the east is the amusement park. Amusement facilities such as Ferris wheels and roller coasters require additional payment. Generally, tourists with children are concentrated on the large lawn at the entrance and play in the amusement park. Since the park is very large, if you want to go deep into the park, it is recommended to rent a bicycle at the entrance. There are also sightseeing cars at the entrance to go to Wenfeng Tower, which requires an additional fee. The three main exhibition halls in the park, the Celebrity Hall of Literature and Art, the Celebrity Hall of Science and Education, and the Celebrity Hall of History are worth a visit. In each hall, there are pictures and texts of famous people in Yixing, and there are also physical objects such as purple clay pots, embroideries, and paintings on display. Wenfeng Tower in the park is not far from Jingxi Gate and is to the west of the three exhibition halls. It has nine floors. Whether you climb the tower on foot or take the elevator, it only costs an additional 10 yuan. From the tower, you can overlook the panoramic view of the park and look out over Yixing City. Another relatively important cultural attraction, Shehu Pavilion, is deep in the south end of the park. Here, in ancient times, Zhou Chu from Yixing was listed as one of the three pests together with white tigers and flood dragons. Later, there is a legendary story of Zhou Chu slaying flood dragons and killing white tigers. There are also rose gardens, azalea gardens, and osmanthus gardens in the park. You can enjoy flowers in spring and autumn. The tea garden in the south gives people a fresh feeling. Visiting Longbeishan Forest Park is suitable in the early morning. A thin mist rises from the road, and a few rays of sunlight shine through the woods. The air is extremely fresh.
