Longemont Oriental Bonsai Garden is located on the west side of Taihu Ancient Town. It backs onto Bianshan Mountain and is adjacent to Taihu Lake in the north. It covers an area of nearly 500 mu. The park is divided into six core viewing themes: plum blossoms, azaleas, roses, cherry blossoms, crape myrtles, and bonsai. Tens of thousands of various plants are planted. There are more than 10,000 plum trees alone.
There are many varieties of plum trees, including more than ten varieties such as red plum, beauty plum, wintersweet, apricot plum, green calyx plum, and camellia sasanqua. The flowering period throughout the year is about 200 days. It is one of the largest bonsai gardens with plum blossoms as the theme in China so far. The park is full of strange stones. The ‘treasure of the park’ is a Taihu Lake dragon chant stone about 12 meters high and weighing 120 tons. It is one of the largest single-peak ornamental lake stones现存 in China. The entire shape is exactly like a roaring dragon facing Taihu Lake, emerging into the world. It prays for good weather and is of great ornamental value. Famous mountains, wetlands, ancient towers, strange stones and plum blossoms set off each other, showing unique ingenuity and making the park full of spirituality and vitality. When the plum blossoms are in full bloom, the garden is full of flowers. The sparse shadows are slanting, and the faint fragrance is floating. The winding waters and cold pools and the scenic bamboo pavilions are dotted among them. The greenways around the lake are intertwined. Walking in it, every breath gives you a feeling of ‘fresh step by step’. It has a unique quiet and beautiful charm. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 16:00 all year round.Longemont Oriental Bonsai Garden
