Longzi Lake Scenic Area is located in the eastern part of Bengbu city, stretching from north to south, with an area four times that of West Lake. On the southwest shore stands the Xuehua Mountain, while on the northeast shore lies the Cao Mountain. The lake water shimmers with light, and numerous boardwalks are set up in the lake, making it an ideal place for leisurely walks. The Longhu Bridge, which runs from east to west, divides Longzi Lake into two parts, with the main scenic spots concentrated to the north of the bridge, particularly in the Longzi Lake Park on the west shore.
Walking east from the Lanling Road in front of Anhui University of Finance and Economics, you will find a towering monument marking the north-south boundary, which is a landmark of Longzi Lake Park, adorned with sculptures of the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise. The Huai River flows through Bengbu, and the north-south dividing line refers to the Huai River as the climatic boundary between northern and southern China. In the park, you can stroll along the lake, enjoy the lake views, and then take in the urban scenery of Bengbu with its towering buildings not far away. On the northeast shore of the lake, at Cao Mountain, there is a martyrs’ cemetery and the Bengbu Revolutionary Martyrs Exhibition Hall, and on the southern slopes of Cao Mountain, there is the tomb of Tang He, a general from the Ming Dynasty. The park is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.Longzi Lake Scenic Area
