Lu Xun’s Hometown is a historical block in Shaoxing City. This is where the literary giant Lu Xun lived in his youth. In the scenic area, not only many old buildings from that time are preserved, but also landscapes such as Tugu Temple and Shou Family’s Gate described by Mr. Lu Xun are restored. On both sides of the main road in the scenic area are white walls and black tiles. You can enter Lu Xun’s former residence to visit the place where he was born. If you have an impression of Lu Xun’s works, you can also go to the Tugu Temple and Jingxiu Nunnery mentioned in ‘The True Story of Ah Q’, and the pawnshop ‘Hengji Pawnshop’ mentioned in ‘Call to Arms’ to feel the real architectural scenes in his works. This block is not long, but it has the charm of an ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River. There are many shops on both sides of the street. You can taste Shaoxing stinky tofu and dragon’s beard candy sold on the street.
