Luodian Town in Baoshan District, Shanghai is one of the four famous towns in the northern suburbs. During the Yuan Dynasty, it was named because a merchant named Luo Sheng opened a store here and formed a market. In the early Ming Dynasty, it had become a large town and was the top among the seven towns and five markets in Jiading County at that time. It has always been known as ‘Golden Luodian’. The neat riverbanks, houses with herringbone roofs are lined up in close succession.

The snow-white walls, cyan tiles, vermilion doors and windows, irregularly arranged doorways and suspended eaves present a brand-new small street along the river imitating the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Walking along the river, after passing Datong Bridge, a cultural relic protection unit in the district, one comes to a narrow street that seems to be an old street. On both sides of the street, there are various small shops under the two-story Ming and Qing architecture, which are also newly renovated.

Some are equipped with large glass display windows, and some still have carved and hollowed wooden doors and windows. The specific business hours and opening status are subject to the opening situation on that day.
