Ma’anshan Museum

Ma’anshan Museum is located in the cultural center of the beautiful Municipal Park in Ma’anshan City. It is integrated with the library and the grand theater. Its exquisite architectural design is integrated with the ecological environment and is shaded by greenery.
The museum was established in 1989 and is a local comprehensive museum integrating collection, research and display. The new museum started construction in 2006 and opened on October 1, 2008. The building area of the museum is nearly 11,000 square meters, of which the exhibition area is 3,000 square meters, the film and television hall area is 400 square meters, and the leisure annex building area is 3,000 square meters. The museum has nearly 10,000 pieces (sets) of various cultural relics in its collection.

In September 2018, the Chinese Museums Association decided to approve Ma’anshan Museum as a national second-level museum.

Must-see tips: 1. Please maintain visiting order when entering the museum. Prohibit random walking, chasing and making noise, pushing and crowding, and making loud noises to avoid affecting the visit of other audiences. 2. Do not use similar wheeled shoes such as roller skates and ice skates in the museum. 3. Do not use food or beverages in the exhibition hall. Smoking or using open flames, spitting and littering are prohibited in the exhibition hall.


4. Do not touch exhibits at will or climb or squeeze glass display cabinets when entering the museum. 5. Some exhibition halls in the museum are open for shooting. Do not use flashlights or tripods when shooting. The photos taken are prohibited from being used for commercial and publishing purposes. 6. Please pay attention to your clothing before entering this museum. Those wearing vests or slippers, drunk or with pets are refused entry.


Those who sell all kinds of small commodities and distribute advertisements are refused entry. 7. Those who carry inflammable, explosive and dangerous goods, controlled instruments and other legally dangerous goods are strictly prohibited from entering the museum.
