The Giant Buddha Scenic Area of Xuedou Mountain, namely Xuedou Temple, is the Maitreya Dojo at the foot of Xuedou Mountain. The temple is relatively new and of considerable scale. A huge open-air Maitreya Buddha statue in the temple can be regarded as a conspicuous landmark in the Xikou Scenic Area and can be seen from afar in many places.
