Mangdangshan Grand Han Xiong Scenic Area

Located at the junction of Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Shandong provinces, Mangdangshan Grand Han Xiong Scenic Area in Yongcheng is known as the eastern gateway of Henan Province, often referred to as the ‘Gateway to Eastern Henan’.
The scenic area boasts unique cultural resources, a superior geographical location, and enchanting natural scenery, attracting visitors from all walks of life for sightseeing and tours.

The planning of the scenic area is themed around Han culture, aiming to develop it into a complex scenic area that integrates health culture, tourism, leisure vacation, and outdoor sports.

The main peak of the scenic area has an elevation of 156.8 meters, and the ‘Statue of Emperor Gaozu of Han, Liu Bang’, which is the iconic building of the scenic area, is located on the main peak, with a height of 39.9 meters, acclaimed as ‘the tallest historical figure bronze statue in Asia’.


In addition to the towering statue of Liu Bang on the mountaintop, there are the ‘Zhang Fei Stockade’, where the hero of the Three Kingdoms, Zhang Fei, stationed his troops; the ruins of the Ancestral Temple on the southern slope; the ‘Sanxing Taoist Temple’ ruins, where three of the 108 heroes of the Water Margin, Fan Rui, Xiang Chong, and Li Gun, gathered; and the ruins of Han Dynasty ceremonial architecture also gather here.


The scenic area is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:00.
