Mei Li Ancient Town

Mei Li Ancient Town, the “Ancient Capital of Gou Wu and Mei Li New City,” is situated in the southeast of Wuxi City. Historically significant, it served as the capital when Tai Bo, the eldest son of King Tai of the Zhou Dynasty, founded the Gou Wu State at the end of the Shang Dynasty. Today, visitors can still experience the grandeur of Tai Bo Temple, which retains the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and is surrounded by yellow stone walls.
