MeiZhu Village, with a history dating back nearly a thousand years, was originally established during the Song Dynasty. Upon entering the village, one can observe a multitude of ancient architectural structures: ponds constructed in the Ming Dynasty that are still in use today; ancient streets paved with pebbles, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship; uniquely designed skywell rooms and high-walled enclosures, skillfully crafted cornices, and intricately carved windows and balconies, all imbued with charm. The ancient village, facing south and shaped like a boat, has a stream of water flowing from west to east along the streets, with seven ponds distributed throughout, all interconnected with the stream, commonly known as the Seven Star Ponds, providing great convenience for the villagers in their daily washing activities. The village is open all year round, with full-day access.
