The Memorial of Fan Zhongyan is located in Hengjie of Huishan Ancient Town, dedicated to the Song Dynasty’s Vice Prime Minister, Fan Zhongyan. In front of the entrance hall, there are drum-holding stones. The second section is the ‘Dun Xu Hall’, which houses a statue of Fan Zhongyan.
Beyond is the backyard, featuring a rectangular pond with a stone slab bridge leading to the ‘Hou Le Hall’. To the west of the ‘Hou Le Hall’, against the west wall and extending to the north, is a long corridor. At the turning point, there is the ‘Xian You Pavilion’. Along the east corridor of the hall, following the east wall, is a running script brick carving that reads ‘Worry about the world’s worries first, then enjoy the world’s joys’. Following is the ‘Bao Ben Hall’, to the east of which is the ‘Jun Quan Pavilion’ and an ancient well. Outside the back door of the ‘Bao Ben Hall’ is the small street of Huishan Ancient Town. Across the street, one might see the ‘Memorial of Mr. Gu Kejiu’. The memorial is open all year round from 08:30 to 16:00, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.Memorial of Fan Zhongyan
