Nestled along the riverbank, the Mercedes-Benz Arena stands proudly in the heart of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo site, adjacent to the Expo Axis and the China Pavilion. The entire structure, with its light and agile, UFO-like unique shape, emerges as if a ‘shell of the art sea,’ stunningly beautiful and dazzling to the world. The center features a 18,000-seat main venue, as well as a music club, cinema, ice rink, restaurants, and retail areas.

During the World Expo, it will host various large-scale performances and events, meeting the demand for large-scale cultural performances at the Expo. It also fully considers the subsequent use and sustainable development needs after the Expo, aligning with Shanghai’s positioning as an ‘international cultural metropolis.’ The Mercedes-Benz Arena is now open to the public for long periods, hosting irregularly scheduled super-large celebrations, concerts, basketball games, ice performances, and even ice hockey matches.

Renowned artists such as Faye Wong, the Asian pop group S.H.E., and American star Taylor Swift have all held concerts here. The large venue, coupled with advanced and futuristic live effects, makes the experience unforgettable for fans. Business area opening hours are from 10:00 to 22:00; the venue’s opening hours are determined based on the time of performances or events.
