The Michelangelo Gelato Museum is an Italian ice cream museum located at No. 317 Baiyun Bridge Road, Nanhu District, Jiaxing City, within the Jiaxing International Food (Michelangelo) Industrial Park. In the ice cream history exhibition area, it showcases the evolution of ice cream from ancient times to the present day, from the early ice cream carts to modern gelato produced by machinery, from the rudimentary liquid form to the diverse and decorative gelato we know today, and from its initial purpose of cooling down in the heat to the current pursuit of life quality. The Michelangelo Gelato Museum takes you on a legendary journey through the history of ice cream.
In the guided tour area and Italian Square, there are fashionable and cool technological facilities that bring the history of ice cream within reach, offering a more immersive interactive experience. The museum also features a children’s fun experience area with various ice creams, allowing you to enjoy the taste while feeling the charm of interacting with modern technology.
Opening hours are from January 1st to January 30th, Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00; closed all day on Mondays; from February 3rd to February 7th, 10:00-16:00; closed all day from January 31st to February 2nd; from February 8th to December 31st, Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00. It is also open on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day from 09:00-17:00.
