**Introduction to Shanghai Songcheng**
Speaking of Songcheng, I think everyone must be familiar with it. Since the first ‘Hangzhou Songcheng’ came out, a series of Songcheng cultures such as Lijiang, Sanya, Guilin, Xi’an, Zhangjiajie and so on have successively appeared. I have deep feelings for Songcheng, having visited many places. When I heard that Shanghai Songcheng opened at the end of last month, I couldn’t wait to take advantage of the May Day holiday to see this prosperous age of Songcheng.
**Shanghai Songcheng Overview**
Shanghai Songcheng is located in the Expo Park by the Huangpu River, with a superior geographical location. The main building was previously the factory building of Shanghai No. 3 Steel Works. The people of Songcheng renovated and renewed on the basis of the old factory building, combined with the local cultural heritage of Shanghai, telling the past and present of Greater Shanghai. Facing the beautiful Huangpu River, its arrival has undoubtedly become a new landmark of Shanghai’s amusement and performing arts theme park.

**Weather and Holiday Mood**
This summer comes much earlier than in previous years. Before the official summer arrives, the weather has already become hot and dry. The first long holiday of this year, May Day, makes many people end their busy work and want to relax during these five days. In Shanghai, the Songcheng Eternal Love show that opened during the May Day holiday has undoubtedly become one of the most popular amusement choices in Shanghai this May Day.
**Experiences and Highlights**
Walking on the Eternal Love Street, the first thing that catches my eye is this extremely interesting Magic Bubble Show. When I arrived, the scene was very crowded. The seats were already nowhere to be seen. People almost sat on the stage. The clowns performed hard on the stage. Many children would ‘make trouble’ and play wildly. The whole scene is full of endless happiness.
On Heavenly Street Market, you can see the magical crystal ball show. The young man plays with several transparent crystal balls exquisitely, which all reflects an excellent performance full of power and beauty. There is continuous applause at the scene.
The new friends in the bird show park are not to be outdone. The macaws from Africa are putting on a wonderful live show. The clever little guys can not only do arithmetic, play with balls, but even ride bicycles. Not only are they skilled in cycling, but they can even turn with the bike. It’s really amazing.
After watching a small part of the wonderful programs, you can stop and take a rest. Of course, for me, taking beautiful photos is essential. Every time I go to a place, I always think that I must not let down myself who spent time dressing up today. Heavenly Street Market and Hobbit Hut are the best choices for you to take beautiful photos.
The whole Heavenly Street Market is in a relatively retro and exotic style, which also has a certain relationship with old Shanghai, and it also reminds me of Guo Moruo’s poem ‘Heavenly Street Market’.
**Cultural and Lifestyle Insights**
It is said that people in Shanghai are the most concerned about the quality of life and enjoy life. Many things on display here have profound connotations and are rare treasures in the world. Things like porcelain bowls and porcelain lamps that look very elegant can be seen at a glance in the Heavenly Street Market. Of course, retro decorations are also very suitable for taking pictures, making people look very noble.
The Hobbit Hut is designed by referring to the Hobbit Hut in New Zealand. It looks very fresh and small. The interior connects all the small houses and forms a corridor like ‘traveling through time and space’. There are many different scenes inside. Tourists can enjoy the scenes or find a comfortable chair to take a break and enjoy the air conditioning. Truly, you can experience this beauty without leaving the country.
Standing on the observation deck upstairs and looking into the distance is the bank of the Huangpu River. The scenery is very pleasant. Coincidentally, I caught the ‘clown funny performance’ in progress. Six young girls skillfully manipulated the ‘little treasures’ with their fingers, bringing a wonderful performance to tourists.**The Joyful Atmosphere at Songcheng**
The audience below cheered continuously, filling the atmosphere with an abundance of joy. As the music changed, three amusing clowns took to the stage, performing a magical world with their quick eyes and hands. Their cooperation was nothing short of tacit, and they frequently interacted with children, bringing a continuous wave of happiness to this May Day holiday.
**Ballet Dancers on the Huangpu River**
What truly captivated my senses was the sight of ballet girls dancing gracefully on the Huangpu River. Holding flower wreaths, they moved with the fluidity of mermaids, their dance postures and formations changing rhythmically. Every frame was a picture of elegance and natural beauty, with the wind and river sounds providing the most enchanting accompaniment. As I basked in this cozy and romantic atmosphere, enjoying the sea breeze, I was drawn to a place marked ‘Time-traveling Costume Changing Hall’.
**Shanghai Songcheng’s Modern Era Exhibition Hall**
In Shanghai, many hold a vision of a night Shanghai ballroom in their hearts. Shanghai Songcheng has integrated this nostalgia with an exhibition hall themed around the modern era. Here, one can unleash their imagination and transform into a dancer or a wealthy daughter from old Shanghai. The gracefulness of women from the old Shanghai era, often seen in TV dramas, comes to life in this venue. With various models of cheongsam dancers on display, the dressing table is a sight to behold for any girl. A professional team is on hand to create the perfect look, catering to your every need. Capturing beautiful photos in these settings makes for a truly worthwhile trip. From the moment you don the costume, it feels as though you’ve traveled back to 19th-century Shanghai.
**Vintage Treasures and Immersive Performances**
At that time, cable TV was a novelty, and people would gather to watch ‘News Network’ that reported on time every day. The hall is filled with rare treasures: old telephones, abacuses, vintage photos, pull-type table lamps, wooden tables and chairs, portable speakers, and more. Everywhere you look, it’s as if you’re tracing back to the prosperous and modern era of old Shanghai. After a full day, Songcheng continued to surprise, living up to its grand ‘Songcheng culture’. Every corner outside the venue is not to be missed, and the various performances inside are, of course, the most anticipated part of the visit. What leaves a lasting impression are the series of immersive performances at Songcheng.
**South American Culture at Shanghai Songcheng**
South American culture descends on Shanghai Songcheng, offering the exhilarating experience of the hot samba dance. Before its opening, Shanghai Songcheng showcased its most representative performances as the biggest weapon for publicity, which have since taken the social media by storm.
**’Passionate Samba’ Dining Show**
Let’s not even mention the quintessential Songcheng-style ‘Eternal Love in Shanghai’; what truly made me scream this time was the brand-new dining show ‘Passionate Samba’. In Theater 5, you can immerse yourself in the fervent samba show, the latest project of Shanghai Songcheng. A grand South American storm has swept across the Bund! Here, you can enjoy the spicy dance and savor abundant delicacies, the biggest feature of this show being the combination of dancing and dining. The atmosphere rivals that of Paris’s ‘Moulin Rouge’. I call this show the passionate collision of gourmet food and spicy dance. The atmosphere is very Western, giving a sense of international cultural exchange and harmony. Performers from Argentina, Cuba, Ukraine, Russia, and other countries give their all, with every dance step being a perfect presentation of their hard training offstage. They will suddenly ‘attack’ and interact with the audience, making you scream continuously. The final dance pushes the dinner atmosphere to a climax. The music keeps changing, and the passionate dancing of the performers on stage drives the tourists. At this moment, they can no longer bear it, and everyone sings and dances as the climax approaches, as if the entire space is radiating a joyful and relaxed atmosphere.
**Gourmet Delights and Free Italian Wine**
After the passion, the big shots dressed in chef’s clothes will serve a plate after plate of abundant delicacies for tourists to enjoy, from appetizer salad to staple meat dishes and drinks for you to choose freely. Every detail will become a point of enjoyment. Sitting at the exquisite dining tables that surround the stage at a 270-degree angle, friends raise their glasses together, excited for this moment. The whole venue is exhilarating and full of energy! In addition to the exciting performances, the excellent South American dishes are also commendable. Whole wheat bread, Salvador tuna vegetable salad, Rio Tropical Grilled Meat Platter, and Star Words Western Dessert, each dish is a superb presentation, as if you have entered a very high-end Western restaurant. In fact, in similar dining shows, most drinks need to be charged separately, and the prices are a bit expensive. Most people will give up the mellow drinks because of this, but in the passionate samba dining show of Shanghai Songcheng, Italian wine can be supplied for free, as much as you want to drink! In addition, there are many dessert delicacies with excellent taste, and the most important thing is that they can be ‘refilled’ in unlimited quantities to satisfy all your taste buds and visual enjoyment.**Shanghai Songcheng: A Cultural Oasis on the Huangpu River**

**Experience the Magic at the Cliff Theater**
As the sky darkens, imagine yourself standing on the ‘Cliff Theater’ balcony atop Shanghai Songcheng. Feel the wind in your hair, listen to the concert, and take in the breathtaking riverside scenery. Watch the sunset interact with the Huangpu River, the lights flickering across the water, and the breeze filling your heart with a sense of longing. The day of joyful exploration with friends is drawing to a close, and Shanghai Songcheng warmly invites every family who cherishes ‘Songcheng culture’. This innovative performing arts park redefines imagination and is truly a ‘must-see’ in a lifetime.
**Unexpected Surprises Await**
Visit ‘Shanghai Songcheng’ and be prepared for the unexpected surprises it offers at every turn.
