Nanhaizi Park is one of the four major suburban parks in Beijing, and also the largest wetland park in the city, with a total area exceeding 11 square kilometers once fully constructed.
Located in the northeastern part of Daxing District, south of the South Fifth Ring Road, between Daxing New City and Yizhuang New City, Nanhaizi Park is a significant ecological project in Beijing’s southern action plan, completed in 2012. The park features water surfaces that account for one-fifth of its area, with wetland landscapes, elks protection, and leisure functional areas, highlighting historical and cultural characteristics. It revives the former glory of the imperial gardens, complementing the Olympic Forest Park in the north of Beijing and the historical and cultural landscapes in the central urban area, becoming another ecological and cultural pearl on the north-south central axis of Beijing. The park is open from 06:00 to 21:00 all year round; from 07:00 to 20:00 all year round.Must Read
