The Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial Hall, established in October 1959, serves as the propaganda, preservation, and management institution for the First National Congress site in Nanhu, Jiaxing. It is a modern commemorative thematic memorial hall under the jurisdiction of the Jiaxing Nanhu Scenic and Historic Area Management Committee. Initially, the memorial was located on the island in the center of Nanhu Lake, utilizing ancient architecture on the island for exhibitions.
In June 1991, the memorial building, funded by the people of Jiaxing, was completed on the east bank of Nanhu and opened to the public. The expansion project of the Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial Hall commenced on March 5, 2007. The new location was chosen on the south bank of Nanhu, covering an area ten times larger than the original building, composed of three buildings in a ‘T’-shaped layout, with a solemn architectural style. The new hall officially opened to the public in 2011. Opening Hours: Closed all day on Mondays; Open from 09:00 to 17:30 on Tuesdays to Sundays.
