On the fifth night of the 2024 countdown, as dusk falls, we will gather in the world of cello music, illuminated by the flickering candlelight, under the title ‘Who Touched My Heartstrings’. This evening, the young American cellist Liu Yuxin, whose performance footprints span the globe, and Yu Yanxin, the founder of Nanjing Bravo Chamber Orchestra and also a young American cellist, will arrive at Mini Bar. They will present an emotional and soul-stirring evening to the audience with a cello duo that blends classical and modern elements. The concert will begin with Offenbach’s cello duo, with its lively melody and rich emotion being the first surprise of the indoor warm winter. Following that, the well-known ‘Viva la Vida’ will strike the audience’s hearts with its passionate melody, and Faure’s ‘Pavane’ will once again immerse everyone in the beauty and softness of music with its elegant sound. Additionally, attendees at the concert will also be able to hear the exotic ‘Misirlou’, Faure’s ‘Elegy’, and the classic Bach ‘Cello Suite No. 1 Prelude’, Schumann’s ‘Adagio and Allegro’… Finally, with the romantic and melodious ‘Moon River’, the free and passionate ‘Libertango’, the unique ‘Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion’, and the joyful ‘Jingle Bells’, the entire performance will come to an end. As the cello music and candlelight also sprinkle over Mini Bar, we look forward to meeting everyone again at the end of 2024, to reveal the answer to ‘Who Touched My Heartstrings’ together, and to leave one more unforgettable, beautiful, and warm night in music for 2024.
