Nestled beside the picturesque Pearl Spring, the Blue and White Porcelain Pottery Center is located at 159 Pearl Street, with a capacity to accommodate 400 people for pottery experiences simultaneously. It has become a research base for the Jiangsu Province Ancient Ceramics Research Association and a demonstration base for science popularization in Nanjing. The environment is elegant and beautiful, where one can enjoy the fragrance of flowers in spring, the chirping of cicadas in summer, the red leaves in autumn, and the snow in winter, with the sound of flowing water throughout the year, providing fresh air that filters away the hustle and bustle of the city. The center possesses rich teaching knowledge, with easy-to-understand text and illustrations, and vivid demonstrations of works, allowing learning in happiness and growth through practice.
Opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-12:00 and 14:00-17:00 all year round; the center is closed all day on Mondays.
Important tips: 1. Reservations take effect two hours after confirmation, please be aware, thank you! 2. This product is limited to online and mobile client reservation and does not accept phone reservations. 3. The pottery experience is limited to 1 hour; a surcharge will be applied if it exceeds 25 minutes, with less than half an hour charged as half an hour, and more than half an hour charged as a full hour (60 yuan/hour). 4. The pottery experience is mainly DIY; the teacher will explain the shaping method for 5-10 minutes and does not undertake to make or help shape on behalf of others. If a teacher is needed to make it, the cost will be charged at a minimum of 200 yuan per piece. 5. The pottery wheel experience is quite challenging, requiring high strength and skill, and is not recommended for children under 12. Please collect a deposit of 100 yuan per person before the experience begins, which will be refunded after the activity ends. Please take care of the tools and samples; if they are damaged, please purchase the damaged tools or samples at a 40% discount of the selling price.
