The China Fingerprint Museum is currently the only specialized fingerprint museum in the country. It showcases the mystery of fingerprints, the history of their application, and the development of modern fingerprint technology. The museum houses over 1500 physical objects and more than 1000 images, all collected from across the nation. The museum’s display of ancient pottery is particularly eye-catching, where clear fingerprint marks can be seen on items such as small roof tiles, long-burning lamps, and containers, left intentionally or unintentionally by the makers. Some craftsmen have even been inspired to create exquisite patterns on pottery using fingerprints. The opening hours are subject to the day’s operational status.
