The museum tells the story of the Earth’s and life’s evolutionary history. With a focus on paleontological fossils, it primarily features ancient invertebrates, ancient plants, and micropaleontology, making it one of the largest paleontological museums in the world. The museum boasts a rich collection of exquisite exhibits, particularly the ‘Chengjiang Fauna’ and the ‘Jehol Biota’ which includes the ‘Sinosauropteryx’ fossil specimens, which are considered to be fossil masterpieces.
