Nanjing Red Hill Forest Zoo is located in the northern part of Nanjing city, overlooking Zijin Mountain to the east and adjacent to Xuanwu Lake to the south, boasting unique forest landscapes and animal resources, making it an important ecological card for Jiangsu Province. The zoo is home to over 260 species and more than 3000 rare wild animals from around the world. Covering an area of more than 68 hectares, there are currently more than 20 animal exhibition areas divided into three major areas by mountain heads.


The Dahongshan area mainly includes the Tiger Zone, Bear Zone, Chinese Felid Pavilion, Felid Planet, Wolf Zone, Indigenous Species Conservation Area, Meerkat Pavilion, Monkey Hill, Giraffe Pavilion, etc.; the Fangniu Mountain area mainly includes the Koala Pavilion, Gaoligong, Gondwana, Asian Primate Zone, Orangutan Pavilion, Hippo Pavilion, etc.; the Xiaohongshan area mainly includes the Tropical Bird Pavilion, Hornbill Pavilion, Chevrotain Slope, Parrot Pavilion, Pheasant Garden, Rare Birds Garden, etc.


It is worth mentioning that the Chinese Felid Pavilion is a mainland area exhibitor of Zoolex, signifying that the design level of the Chinese Felid Pavilion has reached the international advanced ranks, and it is well worth a visit.
