Nanjing Underwater World is located within the Zhongshan Scenic Area. It boasts over 200 species and more than 10,000 marine fish, 6 Emperor Penguins from Antarctica, over 20 temperate penguins, and more than 30 marine mammals including polar bears and Arctic foxes. Daily performances include the thrilling ‘Dance with Sharks’ and the enchanting ‘Daughter of the Sea’.
The first floor of Nanjing Underwater World, with the longest exhibition area among the four levels, features a 74-meter long transparent glass tunnel where visitors can admire the diverse fish schools, enormous sea turtles, and fierce sharks. The ‘Dance with Sharks’ and ‘Daughter of the Sea’ performances showcase the heart-pounding spectacle of divers interacting with sharks, while visitors can also enjoy the captivating mermaid show.

At the Dolphin Pavilion on the first floor, there are four exciting dolphin shows daily. The timing of various performances may be adjusted based on the daily announcements at the attraction.

The Polar Zone on the second floor allows visitors to meet ‘Humboldt Penguins’ from Peru, South America, and observe the feeding of penguins by keepers. On the third and fourth floors, visitors can encounter a variety of precious Arctic animals such as polar bears, Emperor Penguins, Northern Sea Lions, Arctic Wolves, and Arctic foxes.
