The Ordnance Museum of Nanjing University of Science and Technology was established at the end of the twentieth century. The museum, adhering to the motto ‘Curation, Heritage, Scholarship, Application’, aims to help visitors understand the history of weaponry development, popularize military knowledge, enhance national defense awareness, and promote the research of weaponry and the cultivation of national defense talents through its precious exhibits, rich connotations, and unique perspectives. With the extensive support and strong assistance of leaders at all levels and from all sectors of society, the Ordnance Museum of Nanjing University of Science and Technology has, after decades of continuous construction, collected a large number of various types of weapons and equipment from different historical periods around the world since World War I. The collection includes over 6000 precious pieces, covering categories such as artillery, small arms, fuses, military communications, and optical equipment, with many weapons and equipment independently developed by our country. The museum is closed all day on Mondays throughout the year; it is open from 08:30 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:30 from Tuesday to Sunday. From Tuesday to Friday, it is only open for reservation visits by teams within the university; on Saturdays and Sundays, it is open for reservation visits by individuals outside the university.
