Nanpingshan Forest Park is located in the south of Quanjiao County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province. It is now surrounded by buildings and has become a barrier of the ancient city of Quanjiao. Also known as Nanshan, it has an altitude of 46.5 meters and is a hilly low mountain with limestone landform. According to the local chronicles of the Qing Dynasty: ‘The mountain range stretches continuously for dozens of miles from the northwest. Here it rises even more and surrounds the county seat. Government offices and schools all face it.’ After the founding of New China, Nanpingshan still stretches for five or six miles. As of now, only 0.477 square kilometers remain. Open all year round and open all day.
