Nanpu Bridge is a cross-river passage connecting Huangpu District and Pudong New Area in Shanghai, China. It is above the Huangpu River waterway and is one of the components of the Shanghai Inner Ring Expressway. Nanpu Bridge was initially built in 1988. The project was completed on November 19, 1991, and opened to traffic on December 1, 1991. Nanpu Bridge starts from Luban Road Interchange in the west, spans the Huangpu River waterway, and reaches Zhangjiang Interchange in the south. The main bridge is 836 meters long. The bridge deck is a two-way six-lane urban expressway with a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The total cost is 820 million yuan. Open all year round and open 24 hours a day.
