Nanxun Wenyuan is a modern garden with a strong Jiangnan flavor. Surrounded by rivers, there is a lake in the garden. It is a good place for leisure with both landscapes and humanities.
Wenyuan is divided into two parts, South Garden and North Garden, connected by a flyover between the north and the south. In the South Garden, you can take a leisurely walk in the Jiangnan garden, look for treasures in the large stump bonsai garden, and try to find if there are any verses you have recited before on the corridor of famous people’s poems. In the North Garden, there are all some humanistic landscapes. The Memorial Hall of the Long March of the Red Army, Wu Shougu Art Museum and Xu Chi Memorial Hall are all worth visiting. If you feel a little tired, you can climb up the Wenchang Pavilion in the center of the lake and take a rest, looking at the picturesque scenery around.
