Nanyang Ancient Town, one of the four famous towns along the Grand Canal, is located in the vast Weishan Lake, where the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal merges with the lake. Passenger ships (cruise ships) travel from Jining to Nanyang Island (Nanyang Ancient Town), and it takes only 30 minutes to reach the scenic area of Nanyang Island from the ferry terminal in Yutai County by boat. The transportation is convenient and fast. Nanyang Ancient Town is known as the ‘Little Suzhou of the North’ with a pleasant climate.
