Nan Yuan Teahouse is a traditional brick and wood structure, featuring a facade adorned with Qing Dynasty style wood carvings. The teahouse spans two levels and remains open for business today.

Customers can enjoy a variety of red, green, and flower teas of different grades, as well as a selection of tea snacks such as smoked green beans and dried radish strips.

Upstairs, there is a ‘Qu Yuan Ban’ where tea drinkers can listen to several pieces of Jiangnan silk and bamboo music, Xuan Juan, Pingtan, opera, and small tunes.

Leaning against the window to sip tea and overlooking the river scenery, the century-old history and the charm of the water town are merged within this small teahouse.

The teahouse is open all year round from 07:30 to 17:00.
