Inquiry of Elegance is a night garden tour project at the Humble Administrator’s Garden. The garden at night, with the use of modern high-tech lighting, exudes a tranquil and elegant ambiance.
Based on the blueprint of poetry, couplets, the poetry and paintings of the Four Masters of the Ming Dynasty, and the artistic conception of the Twenty-Four Poetic Styles, Inquiry of Elegance takes the garden as the protagonist and employs light and sound as non-solid media to reshape the spatial poetics in the aesthetics of Eastern garden design, focusing on synesthetic experiences.
Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 18:30 to 22:00 all year round; the garden is closed all day on Mondays; during Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, it is open from 18:30 to 22:00.
Favorable policies for children: Children aged 6 years (inclusive) and below (accompanied by an adult with a ticket) enter for free; children aged between 6 years (exclusive) and 14 years (inclusive) (accompanied by an adult with a ticket) enjoy half-price admission.
