A night tour of Xizha offers a completely different experience from the daytime. As dusk falls, the meticulously arranged lighting within the scenic area illuminates the entire Xizha, making it appear translucent and radiant.
The warm glow of the lights reflected on the water creates a sense of vibrancy in the photos taken. At this time, taking a traditional wooden boat ride along the West Market River is perhaps the quintessential experience of visiting Xizha.

The nighttime performances in Xizha are also quite diverse. On pleasant weather days, sitting on the benches in the Grand Theater Square to watch an outdoor vintage movie adds a unique charm to the experience.

For those interested in local art, storytelling and flower drum performances would be ideal choices. Walking along the streets, one might often encounter the elderly on their night watch, the sound of their wooden clappers echoing with the warning “dry weather, be careful with fire” in the air, transporting visitors into the ancient memories of Wuzhen.

Of course, if you prefer a less artificial atmosphere, you might opt to stroll along the old stone-paved streets, lit only by dim street lamps that cast just enough light to illuminate your path. Xizha has several charming bars and cafes for those interested in enjoying a drink or two.

Xizha is open all year round: Monday-Thursday, Sunday from 09:00 to 22:00; Friday-Saturday from 09:00 to 22:30.
