Haitian Yizhu is located in the middle of the Hangzhou Bay Bridge, 1.7 kilometers south of the south navigation channel, connected to the main bridge line via a ramp bridge, and is a man-made sea viewing platform in China. The overall shape of Haitian Yizhu Scenic Area resembles a ‘roc holding a pearl’, symbolizing the development of the Hangzhou Bay area soaring like a roc spreading its wings, flying higher and higher.

It covers a sea area of 12,000 square meters, divided into two parts: the viewing platform and the observation tower. The platform has a construction area of 36,600 square meters, six-story all-steel structure, providing comprehensive services such as catering, accommodation, leisure, entertainment, sightseeing, and shopping; the observation tower is 145.6 meters high, with a construction area of 5,100 square meters, totaling 19 floors, allowing you to stand at the highest point and overlook the majestic bridge and the vast Hangzhou Bay.

Viewing the bridge and appreciating the ebb and flow of tides from the viewing platform, the majestic south and north navigation bridges echo each other, spanning 36 kilometers across the surging Hangzhou Bay with the beauty of a ‘rainbow lying on waves’.

Observing the great tide and marveling at the natural spectacle, Hangzhou Bay, as the estuary of the Qiantang River, is known for its rapid water flow, with a tidal range of 7.6 meters, and is known as one of the world’s three major strong tidal bays along with the mouth of the Amazon River in South America and the mouth of the Ganges in India. Standing at Haitian Yizhu, looking down, you can watch the magnificent scene of the tide rising and falling. As night falls, the landscape lighting system of Haitian Yizhu interprets light art in accordance with seasonal changes, dancing the romance of spring, the tranquility of summer, the splendor of autumn, and the warmth of winter, creating a fantasy of listening to the waves and enjoying the sunrise and sunset at the high point of Hangzhou Bay.
