The Old Town is located at the northern end of Chengmai County. It is adjacent to the provincial capital Haikou in the east, bordering the Qiongzhou Strait in the north. To the west, there are the Machong port group, a national first-class port. To the north, there are the tourist resort Yingbin Holiday Village and Bianwan Bathing Beach.
