**Travel Insights:**
While the sun was shining brightly and smiles were abundant, I embarked on another impromptu trip! This time, my third stop was Shanghai (Wukang Road, Tianzifang). Unfortunately, I discovered I had forgotten my most important ID card when checking my luggage before leaving work. This necessitated a return home to retrieve it, delaying my departure and canceling my planned evening shopping. Despite this minor setback, I found a silver lining in the form of saved money.

The night before, I took a bus from Zhangjiagang to Suzhou and stayed at a hotel near Suzhou Railway Station. I must commend the hotel for its excellent cost-performance ratio, which surpasses that of hotels in Shanghai. As previously mentioned, I have a slight obsession with cleanliness, making it difficult for me to stay in hotels around Shanghai.

This brief yet enriching solo adventure was a testament to the joy of independent travel and the unexpected pleasures of photography in the bustling city of Shanghai. As for those places that I can get used to staying in, the price is really unaffordable. There is an underground food city in Suzhou Railway Station. Although it is a food city, there are not many delicious foods. It can only fill the stomachs of passengers in a hurry. Tonight I especially want to drink milk. I searched around the station for a whole circle. Finally, I went to Grandpa K’s store and ordered a cup of milk froth. After drinking it, I shared the spoils of victory from Vipshop with my colleagues, and then lay down contentedly. By the way, the beautiful front desk lady also helped me upgrade my room for free!

The next morning, after washing and grooming, I took the high-speed rail to Shanghai. Speaking of high-speed rail, it is really fast. Before I even got my butt warmed up, I arrived 25 minutes later. After getting off the train, I planned to take the subway to Wukang Road. I remember that Suzhou subway can be scanned directly with Alipay code. Unexpectedly, it doesn’t work in Shanghai. I have to buy a ticket and scan the code. So when I was stuck at the ticket gate and the subway guy rushed over to help me, I was so embarrassed! Hahaha! Squeezing out in the opposite direction from the crowd, I simply didn’t take the subway and ran towards the taxi. When people are in a hurry, they really act stupidly. Originally, taking the subway only costs 3 or 4 yuan. Now taking a taxi actually costs 29 yuan. Watching the meter jump up and up, my heart chills down bit by bit… Fortunately, I arrived at my destination, Wukang Road smoothly.Wukang Road lives up to its reputation as a cultural haven. Every building and tree exudes the rich cultural heritage of Shanghai. I arrived early and found the streets nearly empty, with only a few runners passing by. It was a truly delightful experience.

Wukang Road is quite lengthy. Strolling while taking photos was both relaxing and refreshing. On Wukang Road, one can find the ‘Soong Ching-ling’s Former Residence’ (admission fee of 20 yuan) and ‘Ba Jin’s Former Residence’, both of which are worth visiting.

Shanghai, known as the ‘Magic Capital’, has every shopfront decorated with an air of grandeur, making it difficult to discern what they sell. After searching for a long time, I finally entered a wonton shop on an empty stomach and was pleasantly surprised by its exceptional taste. After savoring the wontons, I felt rejuvenated and set off for my next destination.

This time, I wisely chose to take the subway. Since Wukang Road and Tianzifang are not on the same line, I had to transfer. Fortunately, I managed it without any issues.

Upon arriving at Tianzifang, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was not just a single street but a whole network of alleys. Without hesitation, I dove into the labyrinth. I only emerged after my legs had lost all sensation.

Checking the time, it was almost time to catch the train back home. Third stop: The one-day tour of Shanghai comes to an end, but where will I go next? I’m looking forward to it!
