Peach Blossom Island is located in the heart of Jinji Lake Scenic Area in Suzhou. Unlike the Peach Blossom Island in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, this island shares only the name. Covering an area of 10 hectares, approximately 150 acres, the island boasts a rich vegetation of peach blossoms, accounting for 50% of the total flora during the blooming season.
There are two scenic structures on Peach Blossom Island, one of which is the iconic ‘Ziyun Pavilion’ in Jinji Lake. The ‘Ziyun Pavilion’, inspired by the phrase ‘purple qi comes from the east’, offers a panoramic view of the lake’s scenery from its elevated position. The other is the Peach Blossom Source Teahouse, which combines classical architectural style with modern Chinese decorative elements, providing a delightful experience of sipping tea by the water.
