Peking University Library is located in the core area of the campus, to the north of the Century Lecture Hall, consisting of two adjacent buildings, the new and old, now referred to as the East Building and the West Building respectively.
As one of the earliest modern libraries in China, Peking University Library boasts an extensive collection. The environment surrounding the library is also pleasant, with a row of ginkgo trees that look particularly beautiful in autumn. The library is open throughout the year from 06:30 to 22:30.
