The Buddhist grand ceremony “Avalokitesvara”, which is grandly staged at Putuo Mountain Theater, has Ms. Wang Zhiping, a Yue Opera performing artist, as the artistic director and producer. The famous director Duan Jianping, who once directed large-scale panoramic song and dance “Romance of the Song Dynasty” and other tourist resident performance programs, serves as the chief director. With Guanyin Bodhisattva as the theme, chanting scriptures such as “Heart Sutra” and “Great Compassion Mantra” is used as the musical theme. It integrates multiple elements of performance forms and uses high-tech means to create the artistic conception of a Buddhist kingdom on the sea and sky, integrating the triple symphonic feelings of perception, participation and appreciation.
