Pilu Temple in Nanjing was originally constructed between 1522 and 1566. Named after the Buddha Vairocana, it was initially known as Pilu An and is one of the famous temples in Jinling. The Chinese Buddhist Association, the Chinese Buddhist Studies Association, the China Religious Federation, and the Capital Hospital are all located here. Pilu Temple is known as the ‘Golden Light Dharma Field’, upholding the spirit of the Golden Light, adorning the land, and promoting the holy teachings, making it unique among the Buddhist sites in Jinling. It is open to the public from 09:00 to 16:30 all year round.
