Pujiang Country Park is located on the Puxing Highway (north side of Da Zhen River) in Minhang District, Shanghai. It is a suburban urban forest-type country park primarily focused on forest recreation and waterfront leisure. In terms of its distinctive positioning, this is a suburban autumn scenery park with artistic theme characteristics. Key words for this park include: suburban, urban, art, and autumn scenery.
Originally filled with the charm of nature, this area also boasts abundant cultural and artistic resources. The Shanghai Theatre Academy is located to the north, and plans are underway to introduce the Chinese Film World (provisional name) to the east. To the west, there is the Changshou Zen Temple. The construction process will make full use of these cultural resources to provide citizens with leisure spaces imbued with artistic characteristics, such as forest performances, Zen tranquil gardens, art workshops, and horticultural farming islands.
The park will strive to preserve the existing vegetation to maintain its natural charm. The initial launch area is rich in vegetation, with evergreen camphor trees, deciduous ginkgo and Chinese tallow trees as the main基调 species, along with magnolias, cedars, osmanthus, Chinese firs, and Chinese scholar trees. There are nearly ten specialty tree species, including the leafy soapberry, fruit-bearing persimmon, jujube, and loquat trees, spring-blooming cherry, azalea, and begonia, summer-blooming wisteria, hibiscus, and wild roses, and of course, autumn trees such as hibiscus and rose of Sharon are also present.
The park has four main attractions:
Horticultural Farming Island: Creates a strong horticultural landscape for viewing, forming a distinctive horticultural island nestled in the forest. There are buildings on the island where customers can participate in horticultural production and exhibitions.
