Qian Mu and Qian Weichang’s Former Residence, also known as Huaihai Yizhuang, is located in Qifangqiao Village, Hongshan Subdistrict, Xinwu District, Wuxi City, on the north bank of the Xiaoaoxing tributary of Taibo Canal. Huaihai Yizhuang is a traditional folk charity organization founded by the local Qian family, which was established at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty.


It was destroyed during the Taiping Rebellion but was restored from December 2007 in its original location with the addition of the ‘Academician Pavilion’. Qian Mu and Qian Weichang’s Former Residence is situated to the west of Huaihai Yizhuang and is connected to it, featuring attractions such as ‘Huaihai Hall’, ‘Academician Pavilion’, ‘Qian’s Private Youxin Primary School’, and ‘Qian Mu and Qian Weichang Memorial Hall’.


The opening hours are from 08:30 to 16:30 all year round.
