The Qiaoxi Historical Block is named after its location on the west bank of Gongchen Bridge. As early as the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, it was a prosperous water and land dock in Gongchenqiao District. At present, relatively complete residential buildings along the river from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China as well as a large number of modern industrial remains are still preserved in the block. The important preserved items here include historical buildings, residential buildings, and ‘tube-shaped buildings’, among which Jingshengli and Qiaonong Street are more representative. Walking along, there are many shops and restaurants on both sides. You can sit in a coffee shop on the street and watch the bustling scene, or you can visit interesting handicraft workshops. The old clay figurines are all good memory materials. The new look of the old street makes you linger and forget to return. Open all year round and open all day.
