Qinchuan Village is located in Langchuan Township, Jiangjia Town, Chun’an County, Zhejiang Province. The village is approximately one kilometer long, stretching from northwest to southeast in a ribbon-like shape, and boasts a history of over 750 years. A small river runs east to west through the village, dividing it into two halves. When viewed from the mountaintop, the village forms a ‘king’ character along the river. A significant portion, about 60%, of the village’s residences were built during the Ming and Qing dynasties and still stand today. Upon entering the village, one can immediately see a corridor bridge with upturned corners spanning the river, known as ‘Jinde Bridge’, which was constructed during the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty.
The village is traversed by a small river with numerous households on both banks and stone paths leading into the river along the banks, reminiscent of the quaint bridges and flowing water of ancient dwellings. What sets Qinchuan Village apart is its vast complex of ancient architecture, including three large camphor trees that tower over the village, giving a sense of its long-standing history. Most of the residences feature a courtyard layout with brick carvings on the eaves, depicting lifelike characters from classic novels such as ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’ and ‘Dream of the Red Chamber’. The village is open all year round and offers full-day access. It is worth noting that some local farmers in Qinchuan Village have opened agritourism homes, equipped with facilities to provide accommodation and dining services for visitors.Qinchuan Village
