The Olympic Sailing Center is located on the banks of Fushan Bay in the east of Qingdao. The sailing competitions of the 2008 Beijing Olympics were held here. Here stands a huge Beijing Olympic torch and Olympic rings. The sailboats parked in the harbor are extremely spectacular. This is also a good place to enjoy the sunset. The Olympic Sailing Center is a large area. There is a long coastal walkway here.
Walk along the seaside, or lean on the railing and look at the sea and enjoy the sunset in a daze, and enjoy all kinds of comforts. There is a sailing marina by the sea of the Olympic Sailing Center. Sailboats with masts and private yachts are moored in the harbor, forming a beautiful landscape. You can also go to May 4th Square first and walk all the way to the Olympic Sailing Center along the seaside from there (about one kilometer). There is also a cruise terminal here. There are sea sightseeing cruise ships docked here. You can sit on the ship and look at the sea and enjoy the seaside scenery. The sea tour time is about one hour. There is one shift in the morning and afternoon on weekdays, and there is a night tour. During National Day and other holidays, the number of shifts is generally increased. There are several large buildings in the south of the Olympic Sailing Center. They were once the venue area of the Olympic Sailing. The Olympic Sailing Museum is now located here. At the seaside of the dock next to the museum, there is also the Grand Theater of the Olympic Sailing Center. There are often different music performances here. At night, the exterior of this building will be illuminated by red, yellow, blue, purple and other colors, and it is constantly changing. It is very beautiful when viewed from a distance. When you reach the southern end of the Olympic Sailing Center, you will come to a plank road that extends deep into the sea. This is called “Lover’s Dam”. There are various bars, cafes and restaurants here. At the end of the plank road is a white lighthouse. It is a good place for a date with your partner at night. Even if two people walk around here casually and feel the sea breeze, it is also very romantic. Open all year round and open all day.
