Qinglongwan Ecological Tourism Area is located in Ningguo City, just over 10 kilometers away from the city center. It is constructed based on the large reservoir, Gangkouwan Reservoir, covering an area of several hundred square kilometers, with more than 30 square kilometers of water surface. The reservoir contains 38 independent islands. The lake water is beautiful, with pleasant mountains and rivers, evergreen forests and bamboos all year round; narrow valleys and streams with rare fish and precious treasures, towering peaks like clouds, and steep cliffs. There are tens of thousands of acres of sweet chestnut, which is spectacular. Especially the natural and primitive ecological environment, and the quiet and simple pastoral scenery are prominent. It caters to the modern tourism’s demand to return to nature. The Qinglongwan Ecological Tourism Area is very rich in animal and plant species. It has been identified that there are 483 plant species; 215 animal species, including 4 rare and protected animals such as clouded leopards, golden leopards, black muntjacs, and white-bearded long-tailed pheasants. Qinglongwan Ecological Tourism Area remains evergreen all year round, with a vegetation coverage rate of 77.5%, and is referred to by experts as: ‘The Kingdom of Animals, the Paradise of Biodiversity, and the Precious Pure Land in the Gene Bank’. It is an ideal place for people to enjoy nature and feel the original.
