Qingming Bridge is a single-arch stone bridge, with a length of 43.2 meters and a span of 13.1 meters, entirely constructed from granite. Due to the difference in terrain on both banks, the stone steps are uneven, with 46 steps on the east side and 43 steps on the west side. The arch is a common segmented and parallel style in the Jiangnan region, consisting of 11 sections. On both sides of the arch, there are inscriptions on the keystones.
One stands from the Qing Xianfeng period, recording the bridge’s history and name change; the other from the Tongzhi period, detailing the reconstruction of Qingming Bridge. The bridge railings are unadorned, with two望柱on each side, giving it a very simple and ancient appearance. In 1983, two Qing Dynasty stone tablets were discovered on the east and west sides of the bridge, one written by Zou Yigu, erected in the 31st year of Qianlong’s reign; the other erected in September of the ninth year of Tongzhi’s reign. Opening hours: The bridge is open all year round, 24 hours a day. Preferential policies: Children under 1.3 meters (including 1.3 meters) do not require a seat on the boat and enter for free; children between 1.3 meters and 1.5 meters enjoy a half-price ticket. Students with full-time undergraduate or lower degrees can enjoy a half-price ticket with a valid student ID. Additional notes: The above policies apply to boat tickets within the scenic area and are provided for reference.Qingming Bridge
