The Qingming Bridge Ancient Canal Scenic Area is located in the heart of Wuxi City, where ancient water town buildings and real old residences together form the blocks. It features visitable attractions as well as bars and restaurants. The night view here is even more beautiful than the day view, with the houses with white walls and black tiles lit up, and strings of red lanterns reflected in the canal, attracting countless photography enthusiasts.
Sitting on a cruise boat, from the Nanchan Temple pier to the Kuatang Bridge, you will see ancient-style buildings and the Yangchun Lane commercial area. From Kuatang Bridge to Qingming Bridge is the essence part, known as ‘Jiangnan Water Alley, the Last Edition of the Canal’. Seeing the ‘Ancient Canal City’ archway on the right bank means entering the real historical block transformed from old houses, where you can find many water-side beauties and small terraces along the way.
After the Dagong Bridge, on the right bank is the China Silk Industry Museum. After Qingming Bridge, on the left bank is the Wuxi Kiln Site Museum. Further ahead to the Narcissus Taoist Temple, seeing the ‘Peach Tree Shade’ archway means the end of the block. It is recommended to take a cruise boat to the Narcissus Taoist Temple and then walk back to the Nanchan Temple pier, where you can visit attractions such as the Narcissus Taoist Temple, the Canal Culture and Art Museum, the Kan Palace Fire Extinguishing Association, and the China Silk Industry Museum. If interested, you can also take a detour to Yangchun Lane to stroll around.
