Qingxi Country Park is located in the southwest of Qingpu District, bordered by Shanjing Port to the east, planned roads to the west, Lianxi Highway to the south, and Dianshan Lake to the north. The planned total area is approximately 22.35 square kilometers, with the first phase opening covering an area of 4.6 square kilometers. The park began operations in October 2016 and is open to the public for free, although the conservation area is free to enter but requires a ticket, which can be obtained on-site.
As the only wetland-featured country park in Shanghai, Qingxi Country Park boasts a diverse array of aquatic species, making it a natural gene bank for native aquatic species in Shanghai. The park is rich in species resources, with a complex network of lakes, beaches, marshes, and islands, forming a diversified ecosystem of wetlands, lakes, rivers, and forests. Centered around Dalian Lake, the park is divided into three major functional areas: Water Town Farming Demonstration Area, Ecological Conservation Area, and Fishing Village Leisure Experience Area.
